Farmers Market
Today we took a field trip to farmers market the Temple University Students held a Farmer’s Market on campus last week for a charity that included many local vendors from around the city. They grow there food in a garden not to far from the campus. Did you know that its better to buy your food from farmers market then from a regular store because its more healthy and its local and its natural they don't add any pesticide like markets do. Yorktown Farmers’ Market, was also there sporting all sorts of jams, as well as an assortment of gourds. The jam appeared to be very popular among hungry freshmen so i'm told. Yorktown is a part of The Food Trust’s Farmers’ Markets, which hold markets every day of the week in various places in and around the city.I can honestly say that I learned a lot I may start shopping at farmers market myself.

STRESSED

Today I'm kind of sad my cousin Burn-Burn died last night coming from A.C his car went out of control, went off the road and ran into several trees then blew up. They said his body was burned so bad until the point they couldn't identify him.Im really just trying to stay focused and keep my mind off it but its so hard not to think about it.I mean he was only twenty and we grew up together and to top everything off we recently saw each other. Its still hard to believe he's gone.I cant barely sleep I just wish I had more time that I spent with him before he pasted or got to at least say"I LOVE YOU"one last time.

JOHN STREET

When I heard former Mayor John Street was coming to talk to us i wasn't excited at all.I thought he was just going to give a very long boring speech. Especially when he asked us to write our names down on a piece of paper and place it in a hat so he could pull it out for us to answer a question. I was thinking oh my god let me get comfortable cause this is going to be one boring two hours. Everybody finally got quiet then he said"Let me pull a name out this hat,if you don't have your name in this hat your going to be sorry."and I was just thinking to myself why is he saying that? Then he picked one piece of paper out the hat and the guy went up I was just wondering what he was going to have him do or what question he was going to ask him. But he asked nothing he just went inside his bag that he had with him and pulled out two dollars and gave it to him. Everybody went crazy after that getting up out there seats trying to hurry up and put there names inside the hat before he called another one which he did he pulled at least 5 names out the hat gave away 5,10 dollar Bills, obama t-shirts.We also played games such as, Who could hold there breathe the longest and the no laughing game. The boy that won the no breathing game looked like he was about to die his face was turning so red he looked like he was going to pass out but he didn't care he still stood his ground and won the grand prize of $20 dollars. The no laughing game everybody was losing left to right but wasn't nothing funny that anybody was saying or doing I really wish I would of played because I really would had won honestly. The last boy standing lost because he busted out laughing after the Mayor said"Vagina"like that wasn't even funny and he laughed wow! But threw all the fun he had a meaning and life long lesson for everything he did.I left out of that meeting feeling good thinking a little different about life and former Mayor John Street. Guess you really cant judge a book by its cover.

"THE MAP"SMH!!!!

FIELD TRIP
Today we went on a field trip around temple university to map all the food stores and food trucks. That was the pretty easy part but then came the hard part trying to turn all our small maps into one big group map. That didn't work out so well, all of us had a different looking map some of our streets went left to right while some others went up to down.I really think we all should had just took a big piece of paper outside and worked together as a whole group so it wouldn't have been such a big confusion.
